PRIVACY POLICY

Thank you for voluntarily supplying personal data such as your name and email address
eg to sign up for the ScrivenerVirgin blog reminders, and/or to download RedPen material,
and/or to attend a webinar, and/or in purchasing a product/service.

Your data may be collected via direct communication with me via email, or an online survey or registration form.
Currently (February 2025), your data is then transferred (manually) to MailChimp software which allows me to send you emails
and to keep track of which events you attend, and which products/services you enjoy. In the next little while, I’ll be moving to Fluent CRM, but in any event, all my software providers (as processors of your data) are required to be GDPR compliant.

Your personal data is not shared by me with any other third party.

Your personal data is used simply to send you relevant information regarding recent blogposts, forthcoming events
and reminders about courses that you may have enrolled for or be entitled to attend.

If at any time, you decide you’d rather not receive communications,
every email includes an unsubscribe option – or you may email me direct to be removed from my list.

OPT OUT POLICY

At any time, you may opt out so that you do not receive further particular mailings eg of newsletters.
Just follow the instructions within an email – and your details will be automatically updated so that you don’t receive that particular mailing again.

If you decide to unsubscribe completely, there is an unsubscribe link at the end of each email.
This will result in your email address being blocked for mass mailings, but I may contact you to confirm your wishes,
especially if you are on a paid course and it’s essential for me to be able to communicate with you in some way.

If you are not a paying client, your data will then be deleted from the MailChimp database.
Client data may be retained (for tax return purposes) for 7 years.

E-COMMERCE

Any products/services offered through this website are by invitation only.

All transactions are in pounds sterling.

REFUND POLICY

For my online courses, a full refund is available if you decide not to access the course, and notify in writing within 7 days of purchase, that the product/service is not for you. No quibble, full refund on request. If you have accessed the course, no refund is available.

For online workshops, a full refund is available if you decide, and notify in writing before the event, and within 7 days of purchase, that the event is not for you. No quibble, full refund on request.

For face-to-face events, such as my writing retreats, a full refund is available if you notify in writing within 7 days of purchase, that the event is not for you. After those seven days, there is no refund option unless a replacement can be found for your place. If a replacement is found, a full refund of monies paid is available, and would be paid after the weekend retreat.

AFFILIATES

As a writer/editor/Red Pen mentor, I’m sharing my writing – and self-publishing/marketing – journey, learning to use Literature & Latte’s amazing Scrivener software with you.

I’m not an expert in self-publishing or marketing or using the software tools that I find essential – WordPress, LearnDash, etc. – and have attended many courses to learn how to use them for myself.

I recommend these products and services – and the courses – to you and, as an affiliate, I may receive a commission on any sales of same, that come via me. But, I only recommend people and products that I admire. If you use the same products and/or apply what these guys teach, you will be blown away, just like I am.
